Four months of colour

An apology for the linky lists disappearing today. All linky lists from the website I was using were withdrawn with just a day's notice so I've brought forward the mosaics...

It's hard to believe that the Splash of Colour project has ended.
Four months,
over 650 colour-packed images,
many many lovely blogposts,
mosaics of eye-popping goodness,
and one purpose:
to lift the spirits during the winter months.

Mosaic of makes:

A huge thankyou to everyone for taking part and for every encouraging comment, image and blogpost. I had no clue the reaction would be so positive - and so big! I've been completely thrilled that an idea that I cooked up whilst feeling rather grumpy about Autumn has had such a fabulous response.

It's tricky to tell whether the project has worked. Several comments have suggested that it has, a few people have emailed me to let me know it has been good for the soul and the fact that lots of people have joined in suggests that it might have been fun. I also know that visiting the Flickr pool has perked me up on lots of occasions. What do you think though? I'd really love to hear if the project has helped to brighten the winter.

Shall we do it again next year?

I'll leave you with a final joyful blast of Spring 2011 from the Flickr pool:

It has completely cheered me up! I've so looked forward to hunting out some nice photos and joining in each month - and I'm not usually a joiner-inner!

I've loved seeing the similarities and differences in everyone's photos - like a sudden frenzy of hyacinths on everyone's blogs (mine included) over the last month.

Thank you SO MUCH for starting this - definitely looking forward to next tear. N xx

A foregone conclusion surely. The photos are all gorgeous but in mosaic form they are spectacular. Well done for organising such a winner!

It has been really good. I am just sorry that I didn't quite get the technology together to join in properly. Next year I will DEFINATELY be a part of it. Thank you Mrs P. Ax

It was lovely to join in with this. Really made me open my eyes in my search for colour!
Hope you do it again next winter.

It's been a much needed pick-me-up on some days.
Only wish I'd been a bit more organised and joined in sooner - next time...

I think it should be repeated next year. It did make me look for colour on those dark dreary days. I'm glad I took part, thanks again for your hard work. I'd like to know how to make the mosaic too.

It was a wonderful idea and worked so well - thank you! It was fun looking out for colour in the gloominess and I smiled and felt better at each of those photographs. I also found so many great new blogs and others found me. I shall miss it over the following months and YES, please, let's do it again next winter.

I reckon you're a bit of a star, I do. For cooking up the whole plan and then making it happen. I'm positively squinting at all that colour...
